Lecture: International Symposium on Armed Conflict, Health & Human Dignity

I am a legal academic and researcher specialising in Medical Law, the Right to Health, International Human Rights Law, and Gender Justice. I hold a PhD in Medical Law and have completed a Postdoctoral Fellowship awarded by the Indian Council of Social Science Research (ICSSR), where my research focused on healthcare laws and access to medical services in tribal and marginalised communities of Rajasthan. My academic work is guided by the understanding that health is not merely a policy concern but a legally enforceable component of human dignity and the right to life. I have over thirteen years of teaching experience at university law colleges and deemed universities, teaching subjects including medical law, human rights law, constitutional law, and legal research methodology. My teaching approach integrates doctrinal legal analysis with empirical insights and clinical legal education, encouraging students to engage critically with both international legal standards and domestic realities. My research interests lie at the intersection of international human rights law, international humanitarian law, and public health governance. I examine how armed conflict, cross-border hostilities, environmental degradation, and public health emergencies affect civilian health, healthcare systems, and the protection of medical personnel. I have presented my work at national and international academic forums and continue to engage in scholarly discourse on health justice, humanitarian protection, and rights-based legal responses to contemporary global challenges.
